Each of these sessions will be about an hour, following worship on Sunday morning. Whether you are a lifelong Lutheran, a first-time attender, or something in between, these sessions will have something for you.

Lutheranism 101 | February 22nd

Our first session will look at the history of Lutheranism and how the ELCA came to exist. We’ll ask questions about our identity as Lutherans, explore what the synod and churchwide offices do, and more.

Where is God? | March 15th

What does it mean to encounter God in the deepest moments of brokenness and suffering? The theology of the cross helps us explore that. We’ll look at the sacraments of the Lutheran church and where we see God in the world and the Word.

How Does God Speak? | April 19th

God’s voice continues to speak! We believe that God is still active in the world, moving and breathing among creation. Through an examination of scripture, history, tradition, and theology, we’ll consider the ongoing work of God in the world and how our social statements and messages embody that.

Worship & Prayer | May 3rd

What makes Lutheran worship “Lutheran”? We’ll explore our shared worship life, considering the liturgical year and Church seasons. We’ll discuss personal and corporate prayer and how they inform our daily lives.

What Does It All Mean? | May 17th

With our final session, we’ll wonder what it means to follow Jesus as a way of life. We’ll address any lingering questions and talk about how we live out Christ’s call in our everyday.
